Join a guild who has the experience perk (guild level 13, I think. Maybe 18.). That will increase your XP gain by 10%. And if you play the Monk class, you can get this bonus to stack with the XP buff you get from completing all your Monk quests, giving you 20% XP bonus gain for one hour.
And like Abeloec said, logging out in a city or inn, or where you gain rested XP, gives you a bonus to gaining experience. You can also get this bonus by logging off while riding on a flight path.
