The letter tumed out to be a fake and the "drastically increased' fees a hoax. unfortunately thousands of daily taxi commuters had to pay these higher tariffs, some as many as 300 % more as taxi drivers were led to belief these was an authentic fee increase Some people were even assaulted by taxi drivers when they refused to pay the increased tariffs.
